John M. Severson was born in Renton, Washington on November 22, 1951. John received his undergraduate education at St. Olaf College (B.A. 1973) and his legal education at William Mitchell College of Law (J.D. 1980). John was elected as Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Council in 1997 and is a Board Certified Wills, Trust and Estates Lawyer by the Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education. John served on the Wills, Trusts and Estates Certification Committee for five years.
